scarry tranny problem(little long)

I was going to pick up my sister at school with a lilttle under 1/4 of gas in the tank and as soon as i start going over some speed bumps in the school i feal the car very slugish(weak) so im like wtf. I proceed to th main street and i punch it peedle to the floor and car is like picking up speed but verly slowly and felt like it woudnt go over 2nd gear(auto) and normaly when i punch it like that feall the jult of the power of the car kicking in and this time i didnt, had pedal to the floor and car going like if i was driving it normaly. I pull into a gas station and pump gas and do the same and car goes back to normal and i felt it go from 2nd to 3rd gear like normal? whats up with my car? ???thx for reading

dont worry just dont take no sharp turns from a stop at high speeds. like floor the car and turn hard when the floor is wet. dont pull off hard when the road is wet or slippery, and just take it easy lol.

This happened to me a while back. I was on the freeway and when I punched it to merge it would not kick in, just accelerated slowly. It did this until I pulled over and put the car in park, then in gear. After doing this it was ok, this happened a while back and has not occured again.
