All Greddy SP2 Owners "Come on Down"

I called you all but Im guessing this has to do with 98 Max's or 97-99's. It seems I have a question about a small pipe that is after my stock cat. This pipes around 4 -5 inches long and is a link between the cat and the B-pipe... I think this pipes has a O2 sensor on it but im not sure??? But with the SP2 would I still need that small intermediate pipe? My pipe is broken along with my stock exhaust and I ordered me the SP2 and the CustomMaxima Y-pipe and Cat Combo... Heres pic of weird pipe...

Is that pipe there replaced by the SP2 B-pipe?

I'm almost positive it is. The Greddy SP2 is a "cat-back" after all, which means it replaces everything aft of the cat.

Well, in the 97-99's there is that weird S-pipe that holds the 02 sensor. Its there because of some clearance issue I believe(not real sure). So unless Greddy took that into consideration, you may be stuck with it.

The SP2 has a bung in the B-pipe as well....It seems a little large for our o2 sensors but there is a bung there non the less.

Thanks everyone who contribute their input but is there anyone else who accually has this SP2 and could say that they didnt need that extra pipe? I know It has a bung but I just want to be sure... I would hate for that curvy pipe to be neccesary... i just figure that the 95-96 doesnt have that pipe and since I have the 98 the cat whould be a lil shorter???

that pipe is supposed to be there, instead of our o2 sensor being in the b pipe itself, it is in that piece...

when i had my WSP exhaust put on, it was meant to replace that... they lied about not being able to get the o2 sensor out so told them to cut the bung off and weld it to the "s" pipe...

it is not necessary at all... if your sp2 reaches to the cat, take off the pipe... if it doesnt then bolt it to the s pipe and plug the bung on the b-pipe... it should reach though, i dont see why it woundnt...

its as simple as that...

you dont need that "s" pipe when you install the greddy sp.. Just take out the o2 sensor, and put it in the greddy b pipe..

I just got an SP2 put into my 97 and it sounds great. You dont need your old pipe, just put it into the one provided by greddy!
