Scraping sound ... CV joint?

Scraping sound ... CV joint?
I have a scraping sound coming from my car that is most noticable on left hand turns. It is spotty when moving in a straight line at low speeds (i.e. in a parking garage), but very consistent when I turn the wheel to the left. Definitely sounds like metal on metal ... just not exactly sure.
Any chance this is pads/rotors or is this definitely a CV joint problem?
If I wasn't detailed enough, please ask for more details.
Thanks.

yea, i think its the brakes/rotors, but wen i had that prob, i didnt hear anything during turns but heard it clearly at low speeds. if it is the brakes/rotors, hurry and take care of it, because ur pads are probably gone and will messed up ur rotors

It doesn't sound like a cv problem to me, I would check the dust shield on the brakes to make sure that isn't loose or rubbing on the rotor, the only other things I can think of would be the pads being worn down but that would make some really nasty sound when you were braking.
