Well in NY you can use any color from white to amber in front facing and front side lenses according to the law. So the stock ones are fine.

I don't see why RI would be terribly different but just check your local laws just in case.

However, the stock bulbs look dull in there and make the lenses look like they've yellowed over time or something.

If you want the white look I'd get hyperwhite of some sort, LED's preferably will give you the best white light.

If you just don't like how the yellow bulb shows through the lens but you don't mind the color when it's lit up, then you can get chrome bulbs that are chrome when off and amber when lit.

Hope this helps.

In NY you can only use amber and white up front, no other colors. Red, blue, green, etc. are all illegal in the front of a car in NY.

This is what I meant to say... I should have phrased it EITHER color... white or amber. Sorry for any confusion.

I like my amber bulbs too. They go nice with my car's color and break up the other white lights like BaiCheSE said.

I also like how they look in there in the daytime. I don't mind the amber bulbs... I just HATE amber lenses. And the diamond cut clear lenses give the car a very nice "icy" look.

i dont mind how the amber looks either, except when they are off and u see the orange in the clear corner, i cant stand that. i just need to stop being lazy and either paint my bulbs with chrome bulb paint or buy some chrome bulbs.
