Wanted opinion: rotor question for 4 gen
Drilled rotors on Ebay for $110.
Been reading up on the FAQ's and such but how many of you out there have drilled rotors? Anyone deal with these guys before? I'm thinking blanks are fine (at least the opinions are varied both for and against) but I'm curious if this is a run-by-the-mill operation or a legit product?
The standard brakes on the max suck. Period. I'm going to upgrade to decent pads soon (got a little thumpin right now when I brake at high speeds). I'm thinking that if I put on decent rotors and great pads, that's enough to make up for the stock sheit. Comments guys?

The stock pads are actually very good. Rotors tend to warp - whether the stock ones do more than others is arguable - I've had good luck with stock brake parts so far. I would suggest that you just get some blanks and some OEM or other good pads, e.g. Akebono, Raybestos QuietStop and you'll have as good a brake setup as you're going to get other than going the BBK route. You can get OEM rotors for 60-70 bucks a piece, or Brembo's for about 40 a piece (blanks).... others around here have had good results with the Autozone cheapie blanks - that run about 20 bucks a side...
