side door bulb?
i believe they are 194. I got the Polarg ones from Custommaxima.com. They are a nice Superwhite color. Slight hint of blue, but with time, it turns to more of a white. Now when I open my door, it lights up the ground outside my doorstep.
check it out these are the ones I have:

thanks Igobuk good info, i curious why you are installing red led into your doors while your dash is white? is your white dash too bright for night driving?
BaiCheSE, according to Lamp Replacement Guide, the Courtesy light (door light) is 161. is that correct?

I have walfart bulbs in there now. dont mean to ***** your thread but hte drivers side door light is out. its not the bulb or fuse. Could the wire be fried? If so how would i fix it? What type of LEDs would fit in the doors? ohh 1 more quick question. Can the 96s just swap in leds for the gauges?
from Polarg, I used an M4 bulb. I'm not sure what that translates to in other forms of bulb sizing. I only know that it is a nice white...very easy to do. I'm very happy with it.
A note tho, Polarg makes their glass with the blue color in it. This will rarely fade. I have learned that PIAA dips their glass in a blue dye....this color will fade.

Well...I did all the other stuff in my car with white LED's soldered in place of stock bulbs, etc. I tried putting these same LED's in my gauges but I got some bad hot spots and decided to look for 194 LED's that would just plug in without hotspots and found the ones I pictured above.
They are from superbrightleds.com They have a picture of them in white on their web site and all the info about them but not for ordering, just a picture. I've tried asking them about it but they haven't responded about it. I've had Polarg hyperwhites and bulbs like that and they look great in the cluster but I don't want to ever open up my gauges again so I want LED's that I know will last indefinitely.
So I decided to try out RED ones in my gauges, doors and dome light. I think the combo will look nice but if I'm not happy with it then I'll continue my search for a wide dispersing 194 LED. I've heard about the inverted cone LED's but they are very dim in comparison to the one's above.
superbrightleds.com has both types and their respective mcd's and the ones pictured above are always tons brighter than the inverted cone ones.

why do you choose to WLED-5 Wide Angle LED bulb not WLED-6 LED bulb for your side door. is WLED-5 Wide Angle LED bulb brighter?

I learned that from a customer at my work who was talking to me about this LED flashlight. It has 7 LEDs around the outside to act as a flood light to see a wider angle of things, then the one in the middle is more for shinning it on 1 direct object.
Or so thats what i heard...

Sean05 answered the question about the 5 vs 6 LED question. The 6 LED has them all pointed forward as where the 5 LED has one forward and 4 to light up all around the sides.
As for the door light, test the wires to see if they are getting power. This way you can start figuring out if it's the wiring or the little light door itself and start troubleshooting from there.

The dome light is called a festoon bulb apparently at superbrightleds.com and they have an LED version pictured below.
