same. i drive like an ***hole most the time. i have a ks code, o2 code, 89k, full tuneup done 2k ago, ghetto intake and i still get 330 to the tank with a gallon of gas left. i think our tanks are 18 gallons? i just have to get my knock and o2's replaced. ehhh
no one really have a substantial answer to problems of hight gas consumption alot of people say check tire pressure , air fileter, fuel filter , tb stuff like that I personaly done all of this changed KS , also did seafoam last week the performance of the engine increased but the gas consumption stayed the same. this weekend im goin to check the resistance of the injectors and coil packs althou i get no engine codes there is nothing more i can think of that might couse bad mpg o btw i get 15-16 mpg city and its not stop and go traffic

our tank is 18.5 gallons, and your not figuring your gas consumption correctly...since this was talked about literally a day ago, you can read back on it.Originally Posted by viktornguyen

Depends on a few things other than maintenace(sp), like hard acceleration, hard breaking, wheel weight, system in the trunk, and if you take lots of short trips.

I get about 400/tank. Mostly highway miles.

My bad... 220 miles per TANK.Senior Member
22 mpg in Los Angeles traffic. That is pretty good if you ask me. For a nice sized 4 door sedan with high performance engine I am more than happy with 22 mpg.
there is got to be a thread about gettin worse gas mileage there should be sticky for this thing why are you getting worse gas mileage jeez
do the winter-blend fuels have anything to do with this crap? My gas mileage has gone down through the ****ter over the past few weeks...

Gotta say I easily hit 400 miles on a full tank of gas every single time I fill up. That's getting caught in Atlanta traffic almost daily. I hit 500 per tank when I drove to Atlanta from Buffalo - all highway driving at around 85 MPH average. I don't THINK I drive like a granny - shift at around 3300-3500 every time.
Well i'm a little below the half tank mark and I've gotten about 200miles so far.
I don' see myself gettin much more than 300 miles this tank... But if some of you guys are gettin 400+, that's insane... There's gotta be something really wrong here...

I dunno. When my gas needle hits the first 1/4, I'm always over 100 miles on the tank. At the 1/2 point, I'm always over 200. When it reaches the last 1/4, I'm around 340-350 miles. I hit 400 and the orange fuel light hasn't come on at all.
Highway driving, I'm over 100 miles and the needle doesn't even look like it's below F.
You guys that get low gas mileage, do you warm up your car for a few minutes everyday?

My best on my Maxima was 533miles using 17.66gallons
All highway miles though. I normally get 350-400miles with 16.5gallons during mix.
All highway miles though. I normally get 350-400miles with 16.5gallons during mix.My lastest tank was 413 miles on 14.96 gal. Alot of highway, but some of it at 90-100mph. Avg on this tank was still 27.6 mpg. Keep your car tuned and get good mileage

I used to get 400 miles to the tank, but since about a month ago for some reason I can only get about 250-275 on 16.5 gal with mostly city miles and I always run 93. I don't know what's up...

I usualy get about 320 a tank if I drive like an *******, 430 if I baby it. One thing I don't get is I've only seen my low fuel light once in 2 1/2 years of owning the car. I fear running out of gas cause sometimes that needle is way down there yet still not light. Anyone else have this prob?
City miles and autos tranny's don't mix. The max is rated at 21 mpg in the city with the auto. If you drive the auto hard, i would think the mileage is much worse on a auto in the city than the manual max. My 5 speed has a much lower gear so the car uses less gas getting up to speed than the auto. Thoughts??
