ECU replacement.

I need to replace a 1997 Nissan Maxima SE ECU due to a crack in the circuit board causing a short. What years and model numbers of ECU are acceptable or desirable for my vehicle? Thanks for your help.

I believe 95-97 would be fine as long as you get one out of a car that had the same transmission as yours, 5 speed or auto. I definatley know 99's would be out of the question.

ECU direct and match yours up, they can actually re build yours for cheaper than what you would buy a new one for. I dont like the company but they can do the work also there are other companys out there who can match your ECU up exactly and Im a believer that you have to match up exactly or you will have issues.
