without much bolt on mods, you should just get a stage 1 clutch. you can choose safely from ACT, clutchnet, exedy, or spec. if you are going force induction like turbos or superchargers, you need to go stage 2 or beyond. i have a 95 maxima also, did a little research, SPEC clutches are pretty much customized to fit many types of applications for a reasonable price. since i am "all go" for all bolt on mods, SPEC recommend me to go for a stage 2 kevlar clutch. Compare to ACT clutch stages, Spec stage 2 is right between ACT's stage 1 and stage 2. this clutch is actually pretty good except the pedal feels much lighter than stock. if you are going for little overstock upgrade, you can do Spec stage 1, but i didn't read much reviews on the Spec stage 1. I really can't tell you how good it is. stage 1 will run you around 250, and stage 2 will run you 310 shipped.

You also have to be very careful on the ebay exedy clutches. they seem like the stage 1 clutch upgrade kits, but they are actually just stock level replacements. I wouldn't fool around with the ebay clutches.

since you are doing a clutch, you might as well do the flywheel upgrade. that'll save you some money doing two upgrades in one job. you have a 95 maxima, so you have to be really careful in choosing your flywheels. fidanza offers the cheapest flywheels you can get at 330 bucks, but they only make flywheels for the later model 95 maxima to 01. you can look on the sticker on your driver's side door guard. the sticker tells you the production date of you car. if your car is made after 3/95, then you can safely buy the fidanza flywheel with the part number 143991. this will cover you good. if your car is made before 02/95, then you are left to order a flywheel from stillen or unorthodox. unorthodox will cost you around 600. you can get a stillen flywheel now for 430 bucks shipped. when you order from stillen, be sure to tell them the production date of your car. they'll make sure you get the right piece.

The Unorthodox And The Stillen Flywheel Are Supposedly The Same Thing. The Unorthodox Flywheel Does Not Sell For 600. It Sells For Less Than 500 Actually. Check It Out At Unorthodoxracing.com. Do Not Buy An Unorthodox Clutch Cause They Suck. I Have The Flywheel From Them And It Is Awseome. It Is The Lightest One On The Market And The Most Quality In My Opinion. Thats Why It Is More Expensive Than The Fidanza.
