What does this Mean (pictures of spark PLugs)
i decided to Switch to Denso Iridiums dispite just recently haveing my plugs replaced with NISSAN NGK platinums. Well last night i removed the NGK platiniums my mechanic had installed in the car and they looks really bad. the Plugs only have about 12,000 miles on them and the all look like this (pics below). the original plugs with 100k on them didn't look like these do. i did some research and i foud out that this can be caused by fuel addatives like octane booster? is this true? i used octane/fuel inject cleaner everyother week as a good practice. can that result in plugs looking like this.
The plugs that i removed were PFR6G11, these are the plugs pictured below with $12k on them.
My original 100k Plugs from before were PFR5G11. is this why did my mechanic use the wrong plug?
As far as gas goes i use all types, shell, mobil and sunoco. I just always use 93. Can gas have this effect on plugs? Sorry the pics are so blury but i think they give a g ood idea of what the plugs look like.

I guess you're talking about the rust coating. If you use too much fuel injector and intake cleaner it will erode the coating on the plug and that may be what happened to you.
Still doesnt hurt driveability as long as the platinum parts are clean and there is a spark.
Easy on the techron. If you use super then you dont need techron. There's enough detergent in 93 octane fuel plus its much cleaner.

i only use 93 now anyway. i wish i had known now to use that stuff its pretty expensive.
Aloso i found out my mechanic used one step colder plugs so that would have been hurting my performance.
