H&R sport springs insteadof my cheap coilovers
ok i got those cheap *** coilovers on my car that ride terrible and i need emidiate chage, should i stick with these or switch to the H&R springs with stock shocks for now dont have money for new shocks yet, does any one have the h&r's with stock shock and how do they ride, and is there any other springs that will lower and give comfortable ride with stock shocks
I have the H&Rs with Tokicos (1999 GXE), put them on at 32K, now have 65K miles. The ride was a little harsh for me to the point that when I bought alloys, went with 15" rather than 16" or 17". In June, I upgraded to 16" (same wheel, Konig Reign), but switched to Falken Ziex 512 tires, great ride now, even my wife thinks the tires made a big difference. Go figure.
By the way, the guys at my local garage all love the way my Max handles and compare it to a couple of (stock?) 5 speed 5th Gens that they work on. I've got the above, plus rear anti-sway bar and front strut brace and it handles great for a sedan. Now the ride is back up to par (I just hate Canal St though on my annual trek to Chinatown, LOL)
I did hear that the H&Rs were better for ride quality than the Eibachs, which is why I got them.
