just got some Denso-iridium sparks installed but.....

The guy who put them on, told me there was oil on 2 of the spark plugs (the 2 on the right in the front side) also, it seems like they were the original NGK R spark plugs. If not, they looked pretty beat.
Is this oil thing a fatal issue? there wasnt a lot, I saw them/have them, but it was not supposed to get there in the first place, right? please tell me my Maxima with 128,000 will last forever!

Thanks

The oil was from your valve cover seals. It's not really a big issue, it just weeped through over time. To fix that you need to buy a valve cover gasket kit from Nissan.

I had Denso iridiums in for about 5K miles and they suck. Fouled out real bad and my car was blowing black smoke. Stick with the NGK copper or plat. they are the best. Just my .02

Zack:
thanks for the info. I looked at the link. I guess my sparks look ok, just badly worn, plus the oil seemed in liquid form, not old and crusty like in the link.... also, let me kn ow how you liked them. I did a long trip yesterday after in stallation and I got a little more than 300 miles from a full tank. there was a lot of overpassing in small roads and lots of hills. I wonder how is that for mileage.

I did notice that I haved virtually no acceleration on the low end, but I thought that might be somethig else. What did you not like about yours?
