brake problems

ill be driving and go over a few bumps and all of a sudden i hear a screeching sound. It is as if my pads need to changed, but I already changed them a few months ago. ..they are all fine. I can pull on the hand brake and that seems to get it to stop. But it has become more and more frequent. It has recently gotten colder, so im gonna try to put some lubrication around that pads.

any other ideas???

you pull on the hand brake when its screeching to get the sound to stop?

you hear the screeching sound when you are braking or only when your going over bump (which I assume you take your foot of the accelerator till your over the bump).

maybe trouble with the calipers. You hearing this in the front or back of the car?

It'll stop when I pull on the hand brake a couple of times..which makes me assume its the rears. But then itll just come back. I cant hear which side of the car they are coming from....Everytime it happens, there is no one around to tell me...but ill work on that. Ill be coasting along, hit a little bump in the road( no accelerator and no braking) and itll all of a sudden start screeching.

How many clicks when applying your e-brake???,,should be about 8 to 10 clicks, if only a few clicks, your rear pads may be dragging on the rotors,,I had this problem, not saying its the same prblem, but check it.. adjust the cable for 8 to 10 clicks..
