rattliing noise from engine when accelerate

i just noticed today that the engine rattles like something is loose inside of it when accelebrate and smoke came out of muffler, any ideas?

sounds like its knocking - with smoke coming out the exhaust, sounds like you've got a busted headgasket or some bad ring lands on the piston. I'd test compression ASAP.

my dads car did that and it was the pistons ratteling around because well, the pistons moved around when he accelerated...

Did the flames shoot out the sides, or did the oil do its job and extinquish them?

In all honesty...it sounds like your flux capacitor is on the fritz...u might want to call your local dealer for it...its a special order item. I had the same issue with my 95 2 years ago

car still running pretty strong though, getting 330 a tank, rattling happened when i step hard on the pedal. i just added a bottle of injector cleaner last friday, and car started to smoke like a volcano....

it very well may be those too..fuel injector cleaners coulda dumped the dirt into the combustion chamber just affecting the johnson rods..330 per tank is a good indicator. I get around 450 a tank
