New Headlights done (R32)

They are almost done, just need to align them a little better cause it was really cold last night. As for the lighting.... with 10000k HID's its nice, looks good but they need to be pointed higher, right now they light up everything up to about 3 feet from the bumper.
Ok so what do you think, please be easy?

The only problem and the thing i hate most is the fact that the side marker is a little bigger then the actual headlight. But there isnt anything i can do about it.

they almost look like stock headlight but are smaller, it looks ok, just looks a bit weird, but good job with getting it completed.

Just use some weather stripping to fill the gaps and it'll look fine.

IMO, i think modding the stock headlights for projectors would be a better idea then to do down this road. There is a lot of cutting involved. Cant really go back to stock now unless i get another mig-welder.

Yea the HID's look amazing... i just havent decided if i want to change them now cause im not sure if i like them as much as i thought i would.

get eyelids or something to help the headlights/corners look more even.

Stock has one beam, these are two beam system and also use a projector lens for superior lighting. As far as the 10000k HID's are concerned, I would rip those out and go back down to a 4200k-6000k bulb.

I didn't know you had to cut into the grill so much to install these. I would love a two beam with the low beam projector that would fit right. I agree with gtr rider the higher the color level the dimmer the output. Somewhere between 4k is the brightest, 6k is still good but more blue. 10k must be almost purple and very dim. 9007 is good enough for me for now and a lot cheaper.

I should have gone with a smaller number but one of my friends told me the higher the number the stronger the output. Ill have to sell these sometime soon and get something else.

Don't always listen to your friends. . .make your own decisions and when in doubt, research for yourself before listening to anyone.

The look like smaller versions of the stock lights but with a projector.

I think the install looks good considering that they weren't made for the car and once you put weather stripping I think they should look fine. Now...I have a question and possible modification idea. Is it possible to take these lights apart and put on the lense from your maxima? ideally (97-99) that way the lights would look "stock". The only thing that would concern me is tha it seams the high beam wouldn't be aimed properly due to the designs built into the lense, but that wouldn't make that much of a difference if you're running HIDs in the low beams...get my drift???? you'd still have HI/low beam even though your high beams would likely not be used due to HIDS/projectors...

just a thought

The lights are longer so you can not use the stock lens, it would be like retrofitting projectors in the headlights. They will look much better when i get some weather stripping in there but for the time being it will have to do. At this point it will be almost impossible to go back to stock setup. The grill came out rather well. I think it will be finished by tomorrow night sometime.

I would go down to 4100/4300k If I were you. What type of projectors are they? Bulb type?

congrats on install, i agree wit those that said it looks like stock but smaller, if u compare it to the corner lamp it makes it look crooked, i second the eyelid idea...

I have 8500K and people highbeam me all the time.... They are slightly blue after they warm up. Super blue when cold.

Thats a damn good question. You should try it, and give me your existing setup

As for the headlights, they look promising, after some re-adjustments. I would also rip those 10k's out and get a kit that would be useful...4100k-6000k

10ks are definately a waste and 4100k would be much better.

Any new pics of the fitment?

Those projectors sound like halogen projectors. You could always rip out those and put in some Valeos or something. Those would probably fit easily too. Just a suggestion, since you wont get that nice blue cutoff that you would with a decent projector.

I went to my friends shop earlier and they say that they can make them fit properly. So there is some light on the situation. I think the head lights arent in the best of shape, it wont aim the right way. Maybe the aming screws are messed up? I just wouldnt want to go and look for another set.

whooooaa those things don't look good IMO. It may look good from far away but up close you can see all the imperfections (doesn't fit correctly, etc). But to each his own...good luck!

No your right about that. The imperfections can be fixed to a certain degree. The only problem is that it would require more time then i thought was needed.

Just to show you guys that are burning my boy for doing this...I was going to do this too but since you have to cut some part of the grill and my grill is part of my bumper I nixed the project...but these are pics of another install done by Kanaka:

Plus you have to give Keyser props for doing it without any writeups at all.

They look ok but with alittle work they would look a lot better. Why did you decide to do these headlights? why not R34, or R33.

R34 & 33 would require body work, hood & fender work, R32's just wiring and cutting grill

on kanakas install it looks like he put weather stripping under the headlight, which actually makes it look a ton better cuz it kind of levels it all out
