RPMs "jump" between 1st and 2nd gear, kind of weird...
Scenario:
When I first got my car, when the car what shift from 1st to 2nd, and if you kept your eyes on the tachometer, the RPMs would simply drop. IE, If I accelerated up to 2200 RPM, and then car shifted to 2nd, the RPMs would instantly drop down to 1500 RPM or so.
Now, is does this:
Let's say I start from a stop and let 1st gear accelerate up to 2200 RPM. Wihile holding the gas pedal solid, the RPMs will bounce up to about 2500RPM and then drop down to 1500 or so when 2nd gear engages. It doesn't do it every time, but I'd say it does it about 1 out of every 10 shifts from 1st to 2nd.
