My cruise control isn't working

When I press the button on the dash, it lights up. But when I press set the car doesn't go into cruise. I have used it before, so I know it atleast used to work, but I don't know what is wrong with it.

Try pulling up on the brake pedal with your toes when you set it. It may be your brake switch is bad or needs to be adjusted.
