Ok here's what I know.

If you have an auto you'll take him to about 60 MPH then he'll take you HARD.
Even with I, Ypipe, exhaust he'll walk hard

If you're 5spd, you'll take him to 60, he'll pull on you for 2,000 RPMs in 3rd and 4th gear, possibly passing you, but you'll get him in 5th. It's a close race trust me, I've been in them

I/Y/Exhaust Maxima should pull through all gears, maybe equal for those 2000 RPMs per 3rd and 4th gear.

The GSR has the third gear from hell, and it's 4th gear is awesome too. I think the Maxima's 4th gear is it's worst gear. I'm not too fond of first either. 2nd, 3rd, and DEFINATELY 5th are winners.

I've raced a stick Integra GSR with intake and exhaust and beat him. I am auto and he was stick. He was an "OK" driver. You have to remember that the majority of these 'rice-racers' really don't know how to drive (race) a stick shift. My max was stock, with 2 15's in the back and 17 inch chrome rims at the time. You'll take him easily. We raced up to about 80mph and it was very close. I had my overdrive ON the entire time, if I turned if off, I would have probably had a little more on him. Also, I see that you are going to put in a Kicker COMP VR, i am selling my 12 inch Kicker Solobaric L7 (the square). It is in a custom Kicker box, that was built by a certified Kicker dealer, so it would not void the warranty. I purchased the sub for $380 and the box was another $150, 3/4inch MDF wood, completely sealed with Phoenix Gold speaker wire. Email me at:

Yes, you have a chance. A really good chance if you a five speed. When I first bought my Maxima a year 1/2 ago w/ no mods I raced my friend who owns a GSR with mods. I have 95 5-speed and we raced up hill, down hill, and flat...just to make sure I wasn't having any weight advantages because he could believe I was toasting him. He had an exhaust, intake, headers, rims and some nice nitto tires...And from the start I would kick his butt. By the end of first gear I was about a half a car length ahead of him each time. So, I think you won't have a problem taking him but if you own an automatic that could pose a problem. Just my 2cents

I raced my friend's GSR (Intake/cat-back), from 70-120. I was ahead of him till about 100. Then he walked past me. I had only intake then. And I have an auto.

Im shure then that I would do pretty good since It would be a street race and that we would let off after about 70mph.

MaxHack: well havent really decided to add any more sound equipment lately since my cash is a little low at this time. Ill let you know if I ever get around doing any system changing. thanks.

GTRBlkMax97: It was pretty easy to do with the fogs. they are actually under and infront of the grille facing inwards. I bought a pair of yellow fog light and mounted them inside on the bottom of each corner facing up and in towards the engine. looks really scary seeing that the whole grille is glowing yellow. Ill try to post some pics of the inside how I mounted them and try to get a pic of them turned on at night. the problem is that the flash of the digital camera is too bright and doesnt show the glowing effect. Ill do My best.
