engine jerks when stopping at the stop lights

I did tupe up and fuel injection cleaning during the start of summer. After that my engine started jerkin when stopping at stop light. I took to one local mechanics, they said my spark plugs were not tight and they got overheated and the color of the spark plugs is like rainbow color except for one plug was good. He replaced plugs with ngk laser platinum. Before I had double paltinium autolite plugs. But still the problem is not gone. The engine still jerks when stopping for a while at stop light. I don't know what is the problem and the mechanics could not find any problem. Any help is appreciated.

It might be one or more than one of your coils going bad.

I haven't noticed my ideal time when it jerks. Basically when you in drive or reverse gear and stop in the stop light, it jerks. It is hard to notice when you are driving. I will try to see my ideal time when I stop it and I will get back to you.

It's not really jerking, but rather misfiring. You have a bad coil. Mine would skip at idle, in gear, and during acceleration from a stop. It almost felt like the tranny slipping.

The coils checked OK with an ohm meter, but would misfire after warming up. I had an extra set, so I replaced all three on the front side and all is well now.

I'll replace one at a time to pinpoint the bad one so not to use it again for some reason.

Wouldn't you get a flashing CEL or ECU code if it was misfiring?

I would have thought so, but I didn't get any codes at all. Wonder how bad a coil has to get before it throws a code..........
