why don't you get an aftermarket headunit? it'll fit perfectly, give you more power and in my opinion, looks cooler =P any aftermarket single din headunit will work.

Cuz I'm cheap, my ears are shot from working on jets in the Navy and I just need it to work. A junk yard unit would be fine or Ebay if I knew the part number.

You don't need the part number - any Nissan Maxima (non-Bose) headunit from 97-99 will be a direct replacement.

I thought so. There are a few on Ebay that look the same as mine but in some cases they only post it as a Nissan product with PN and no car model to fit identified. So I thought having PN would give me more options. Like this says Part# PN-2213D, dated 1997 or another PN-22131 why are they posting different part numbers for the same looking radio? I just want to make sure I'm buying one that with plug & play.

Just get it on Ebay....all model between 95-99 will fit. I got a 2000 OEM and fit right in my 95....except need adjustment on the dash but everything else is working perfectly.....plus got for pretty cheap too....cd/cassett (make 2000) for 50 buck s&H all included...think about it...stealer would costs around 4 to 5 hundred bucks...also, no need new harness just used the stock harness....Good luck
