If you are trying for some real bolt on performance I would say a ypipe and keep the high flow cat. Do you have a different front on your car and some rims? Because I live right off of powder springs.

how about a cam.depends on how much you want to spend. but a cam is just as good as a mevi for top end

I'm probably attempt putting on my headers soon, so that will take care of the y... i don't know the first thing about installing cams(plus i'm a poor college kid)... anything else in to bolt-ons that woulld help me at higher speeds?

I would just go with the Y, I dont relly think the gains of the headers are great enough to justify their cost over the y for NA cars.

chuckie311
Are the cams compatible with FI?

well what he is looking for is more top end power. the y dosent do it on the top end like cams and mevi.

and yes the cams will work boosted.

I didnt say anything about cams on the top end. I know cams will help out on the top end. Thats where they excell.
I was comparing headers over the Y.

Is anyone running the cam and boost combo. Just curious on their opinion on that setup.
I always heard they were more for NA applications.

*edit*
I see that i30krab is, and making some big power.

if you want a cheaper way for for a HAI like the JWT intake or stillen. Put a y-pipe on and you will feel a big differance over stock. This is what i have and on the highway it is like day and night of what it use to be. This will not compare with a mevi or turbo but for cheaper way fo doing it it really does help.

If you had these 2 things mixed with a mevi and ecu you would very well be on your way to your goal.

Id say mevi, y, and exhaust is all youll need for now. If you wanted to get more complex like cams, might as well save that money for boost. Cams doesnt produce enough extra power for the buck.
