from what i have seen in a few pics the red is on the bottom of the needles. so you have to use sandpaper and sand off the red

i believe the GXE and GLE have white needles and the SE have red ones like yours. Do what chucky said and sand underneath the needle. But wouldn't that just make the needle clear?

95-96 SE had clear needles. the needle has a design in it to help illuminate it and aid in visability. All the other needles are orange that can be sanded off, except for the SE-L. According to a freind he could not sand the color off in his. Im pretty sure they are the new style needles that are more of a red and fully colored.

I bet it would look nice to have the '95-96 SE needles on our '97-'99

So what yer saying is i have to remove my needles, risk screwing up my gauges, and sand the red off the bottom, hoping it wont look like *** afterword, then reattach the needles and hope it looks right? can anyone provide any more of a guarantee? there has to be someone who has done this... didnt see anything in the how-tos tho other than removing the needles... which seems scary!

you can thank certain people for trying to sell that mod off like it was their own without giving him credit, he removed the how-to.
