Help! < ECU Code < "Fuel INJ Sys Right bank:rich"
Help! < ECU Code < "Fuel INJ Sys Right bank:rich"
On my 7hr roadtrip from school the ol' max decided to throw the code 'Fuel INJ Sys Right bank:rich' This means the injectors underneath the upper intake are failing, right?? If its running rich, then to much fuel is being added; wouldn't injectors typically run lean if their failing??
Is there anything to do besides replacing all the injectors, maybe an injector cleaner? Should I go ahead and replace all six since they all have about 100k on them(or resistance test them individually), if so should I buy OEM? How much do injectors typically run?
The richness has cause the engine to stall a couple times and since I only have thanksgiving break to fix this any advise is greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Check your O2 sensors. I was having the same problem ( I was getting fuel trim codes). Never threw a code for the O2. But my car had 165k on it and I didn't know how old they where so I decided to replace them. My car runs great now and better gas milage too.
