differential bearings

Can someone tell me how much it would cost to replace differential bearings in a manual tranny and would the problem come back once fixed? Thanks for the help.

might as well get the tranny rebuilt if youre going in ther efor the bearings, the part itself costs $30, it wont come back if the tranny is properly shimmed

www.motorvate.ca has an article on the failure

I changed mine for 400 with me taking the tranny off then taking it to a tranny shop and have them clean it out inspect it and then replacing the old seals, bearings etc.
