sticky transmision????????
hey i have a auto max and today when i started the car ( already warmed up)
and started to go from P to R it took 2-3x more force than normal, like its stuck or stick or somethig, followed by a clunking sound then like shifting to N to D it was sticking too and required more force, and instead of the smooth gear to gear it was like it was clicking like.... R- click, click, click-N-click, click, click- D, .....it didnt make any clicking sounds but u can feel it while you try to shift it. any one else had this problem, is my tranny on its way out???

my tranny does this too in the cold weather, even with the car warmed up. feels like i have my drop resistor active, even though its not. anyone else who can confirm whats up with this? is it normal, or tranny problems on the rise?

My sister-in-law's maxima does the same thing. When i try to put it from P to any other gear u have to squeeze the living out of the shifter's button to make it move (btw, it doesn't make any clickin noises). It doesn't slip when driving it, it just has that problem when trying to change the gear. It only does it from P. Once you finally get it into a gear, it's easy to move it around. I have no idea what the heck could cause that problem.
