Lowest Suspension...

I was wondering what would be good springs and shocks that would lower my car as low as possible while being able to fit 17 or 18 rims(cant decide yet), with out cutting out my wheelwell...And also what are the deminsions for getting new rims to fit correctly...thanks

Chris

Just remove the springs altogether. Or get Sprints...same effect.

Lower is not better.

If you want to go as low as possible, you should really look into coilovers http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaCoilovers

Lower makes the car ride worse. The higher the better, but obiously you want to lower the car. A lot of people go with H&R's and Tokico's. Good combo. A friend of mine has cut sprint springs and Tokico's and it rides pretty nicely.

My '98 Max has Ground Control coilovers. 2.75 inches down in the front and 2.25 inches down in the rear. I have factory struts. The car sticks thru corners like crazy.
The ride is somewhat stiff but the coilovers are very easy to adjust.
I have MSR 17x8 wheels and Falken tires. 1" clearance from the fender lip
to top of tire all the way around. Tire O.D. is 25.4".

im riding on tein coilovers, lowered at the lowest setting front is at 3.6" and rear is at 2.9", no finger between tire and fender, and it handles like crazy, well along with fstb and rsb and im riding on 17's. ride is kinda bumpy, but every ride is bumpy when lowered that much. but honestly, is not as bad as people say it is, but comfortability, stock is always the best.

I've never hit the bumpstops. Even on large dips/bumps.

Also creates inconsistant turns. Especially on left after a right and vice versa.

Yes you have.

Reach up inside the wheel well and feel how much space there is between the top of the strut and the bumpstop. It's less than an inch.

I dunno, I've really been thinking about it... I'm not really into the whole speed thing or racing.. I always thought it was more fun to lift and raise the car with the touch of a button but I'd like to know how it rides... if not I"ll just get coil overs and slam the hell out of it

There you go! I'm going more towards a show look now... but I'd really like to see how air bags ride on our cars. If not coil overs all the way. .I was once into the whole speed thing and I have a few kills under my belt but its not worth it anymore, you learn to realize theres more than beating a piece of crap honda civic whos trying to catch up to you so bad that hes cutting everyone off and god forbid he kills someone while trying to catch up.

And yea its just nicer to sit back and have a pimp ride for the ladies to enjoy
