Car is sick still

Okay so when I engage my clutch my RPM's are dropping like a rock.

Now thats all fine but now when I go to restart it I can't Maintain idle, it just wants to drop. If I gas it back up it will fail again. If I dont it will drop like a hammer.

I can not repeat the problem in controlled enviroment and seems to be random. Last night getting off the freeway I drop from 5th to neutral let my engine slow a tad then DS into 4th, bye the time I did this I had noticed my guage lighting back up. So the car is now dropping RPM's in mid-shift if I hold it for just a bit too long, again I can't get this to repeat it's random. But stalling out in mid-shift while goin 65+ can't be safe.

Taking it to MY mechanic tommorrow, whats shoulf I have him look at since I can't seem to repeat the problem. My idle is rather low too (700) but I am new to this car so still elarning some stuff, base idle in my old car was 8-1k, dont know about The Max thou

So in closing

1. Losing all RPM's when engaging the clutch and brake.

2. Random and can not be done at will.

3. After losing power to the car (stall) when I go to start RPM"s go up like normal then just drops to 0 again. Have to give it gas to keep car from stalling again, even with clutch pedal all the way down. I have had to restart like 5 times at one light and burn rubber just to keep car going.

4. RPM's do not seem to "sputter" they just flat drop and throttle response feels good in general.

What to do? What to do? What to do?

My idle rpm is 650 which I believe is normal for 5 speed max. my old car was 800

it sounds like your clutch disk isn’t releasing from the flywheel. It could possibly be the springs are worn. I'm not sure I've never had the problem you described. Is pedal feel usually soft or is it hard to get into gear?

No it is pretty esay to put into gear but I am new to 5spd. I have had people drive it say the clutch feels fine.

Even if the clutch is engaged or not it should stay above 800rpm's like it normally does when NOT having this problem..I will mention thsi when i have it looked at thou..Thanks

Anyone else up to bat?

Long shot, but I had similar symptoms when my engine colant temp. sensor was going bad. It was completely random. Its a $20 part. Might as well change if you have high milage.
