Maintanence Question 99 Max

I was diagnosing my car a couple weeks ago and came up with codes 0201 and 0412. The 0201 wont pinpoint which coil to replace, so i am going to let that one run out til it can pinpoint. However, 0412 is telling me Bank 1 Sensor 1.. Same as P0134.. However I was at Firestone, and they ran the check for me for free (my company does a lot of business with them), and they told me P0154 came up which is Bank 2 Sensor 1. So is my self-diagnosis of Bank 1 right or is Firestones of Bank 2 right.. Or are they both right, and both my O2 sensors are bad..

Much help would be appreciated! Thanks

Brian

If I were you Id swap out all of the coils now, Its a good time to that since one, or maybe even two have gone bad, all 99, and 98's have this Damn issue with there coil packs going bad, Buy Mitsubishi ones, there the ones that dont have the problem, If you dont know what Im talking about just go and ask for the coils off a 97se at autozone or Napa or one of the many other auto stores

99's are notorious for coils crapping out, not 98's. I guess you know how to pinpoint it by swapping out the coils...
as for the 02's... thats up to you. The best way to diagnose which one is bad is not to do it with the ECU, its to use a scan tool and run it on your car. It will tell you which of the 02 sensors is bad by measuring their voltage. My rear one had gone back so I just changed both... so that would be my answer.. change both and you wont have to worry about it. Unless of course money is an issue...

Thanks to both of you for your help.. Looks like I'm just going to shell out the money, or plastic But it seems like it's time to replace all the coils and both of the front o2 sensors!
