best low-end power mods?
i want more power in my car cuz the auto is too slow. what can i do to improve this? my parents already ordered a budget y pipe, frankencar intake, and hyperground system as Christmas presents. what else shoud i do. i want to stay NA and dont feel like changing to stick. i mostly want to get rid of the huge lag in low rpms.

sweet, you go to Brookfield High? Anyway, check for ecu codes, mostly the knock sensor ghost code. Run the diagnostic test. You should have an abundance of low end power, so I'm figuring the ks is shot...

By the way, how much did they pay for the Budget Y?

Just read up and decided on what you'd like, or listen to sound clips and video clips of certain ones with certain intakes, midpipes and y pipes. Also, there's a GD goin on for ECU. It's said JWT is the best, but takes long to do and ship back, so there's the only other option of Technosquare, which I believe is a little bit cheaper and they're alot quicker with shipping the product back to you.

Does technosqaure include the raised rev limiter, or no? I know JWT does.

Yeah i dunno about the mid-pipe taking away anything, i can't say it has any noticable gains but certainly no detriment to getting more air into the engine quicker than stock box

Would it be possible to just buy an engine you've done the swap on and have a mechanic swap it in without it being any more difficult than a regular VQ30de for VQ30de swap.
What kinda gains did you end up dynoing on your GFs car?
There's no way I'd be doing this now, but maybe someday.

1.5k built and shipped ready to install like OEM replacement

Sounds pretty good. I'll keep you in mind when (if) my engine dies. Do you rebuild the rest of the engine or use only low mileage engines or anything like that, or is it just the luck of the draw on reliabilty?

Theyre about to have one for a 99, last I heard. Hhehee. A good low-end mod would be a udp, I think. Get a 00vi for all around power, then get the 3.5 bottem end, with a dek top. drop a ECU in dat and a z32 maf, then get an allmighty turbo and you have your self a beast

Alright hopefully sometime soon i will get a udp from CustomMaxima (just found out they only 10 minutes from mi casa) and about the 00vi, is that the MEVI or no? im clueless. where can i buy one and how much? thanks ever1 for all the info.

I get low mileage bottomends and throw resurfaced heads on. Mileage on heads is no biggy considering the only wear item is valve guides and seals. I do put the best looking heads on i have(i have about 5 sets layin hear not inc complete motors).
