High Output Alternator Needed!

Got a 500 Watt stereo and a carputer at 200W. Anyone know where I can get a high output alternator to power this stuff? I want a good place. Please post all advise. Thanks guys.

Are you really sure you need one? Your stereo may be rated at 500 watts, but probably consumes much less continuously, like maybe 10 watts. Carputer probably consumes far less than 200 watts rated power on average, also. Maybe try first and see if your charging system can or cannot handle it before spending more money.

Excellent advise, however if you do ended up needing one, there was a thread about this a while ago, here it is read through it, there is contact information and everything.

you dont need one for that amount of power just upgrade the big 3

What is the Big 3? Also, what kind of power consumption are we talking about here? My speakers are 4 at 50W each and sub. My carputer uses about 80W. Can my existing alternator handle all? I may need to upgrade a little? Please advise and thank you for your help.

We'll see. Then he'll be back a few months later saying his alternator is toast. Look in the audio section sterlingmissle.

I'm running a 200+amp and will never go back to the stock units because they suck.

Im running 2200 watts of stereo, with many other accessories for about 2 years. alternator is fine. Keep in mind its not sony stereo equipment its all alpine. I would keep the stocker till it craps out.
