I've got a post going on with the same problem right now, and its the coil packs. I checked my codes and i got 06-03 which is misfire on 6th coil, i'm sure you'll get similar one. My problem is intermittent though which is odd, i think the coils going but not fully gone yet. Either way i need to check it with an ohm meter tomorrow and order a new one.

i had this happen to me on my 5th gen. i had just gotten my car back after a 2week repair and i was driving in PA and decided to open it up. When i got to 100 mph my SES light started flashing, i freaked out and slowed down and the light went away. I took it to a dealer in NC and he said that when the SES light is flashing something very bad is happening to the car and it should be serviced immediantly. I'm not sure if he was blowing smoke or if he was telling me the truth.

IT'S THE COILS! ENOUGH BUMPS ALREADY! So yeah, I found out the hard way '99's are known for bad coils. Just get them all changed, not just one or two. But don't be stupid like me and drop nearly a grand for it Get all your coils changed right now and get it over with, you'll be much happier later on.
