40..60..80..Series

I was thinking about gettin a flowmaster cat back. What series would you guys suggest..I heard the soundclips of the dual flowmaster at custommaxima.com and I really like the sound of that i was wondering what series I should get to get that sound and wether or not to get a resenator..thanks alot guys.

I have the 40 series with a y-pipe. You definatly need a resonator or it will be hella loud. I am not sure what series the custommaxima.com uses. My friends say they like how mine sounds. You can't hear it after 3000RPM. I like that. Has a nice idle. Hope this helps.

i had a 40 and a 80. didn't like either. got a magnaflow and i'm lovin it. go without a resonator at 1st. you can always add one later.

i have a 40 series delta flow. i really like it compared to my old apex'i much less ricey, mor rumbley and deeper. i have a custom 2 1/2" b-pipe with a cherry bomb for a resonator

I have a magnaflow with a budget y/ resonated b and its still a bit loud for my taste especcially at around 1.5-2.5k (traffic speed) it just growls like beast... not exactly my style but meh it goes away by 3k

I'm in the same position, except I have a straight pipe and an Apex'i muffler. It's loud as hell, I bet every cop hears my car from a mile away. I want something quiet, but I think as long as I have the test pipe I'll be out of luck.

i have the 40 and i love it but as stated before, without a resonator, its really loud but at the same time not ricy loud... well not as bad anyway.

if you want somthing quiet just get a regualr muffler and put a tip on, youll only losse 2 or 3 hp
