You would have to rip that engine apart and put everything into a FWD maxima block.

It might be an easier swap into a Z or 240sz. It does however come with a lot of useful stuff. To use the IM you would have to get a custom hood.

Why couldnt you just buolt it up to the FWD tranny, i thought all of Nissans trannys are compatible from the I4's to I4 V6- V6 and so on

FWD engine is designed so that the flywheel is facing the left tire, RWD flywheel is facing the back of the car

Theres no room... put it this way. If the engine was facing a RWD direction and your looking at the car from the front to the back... twist the engine around and the turbo that was on the passengers side would now be on the firewall and there sure as hell is no space back there.

for some reason i dont even see the turbo in that ebay pic he posted. i might swing by there since its close to my house, i wonder if we can buy the manifolds and try to fit that alone to a max. it might make going turbo alot cheaper.

then you have to worry if the front manifold will clear the radiator...

Where are you going to switch around the turbo to? In that case you'll then need a different non turbo manifold and custom pipes to relocate the turbos... while you did all that you were better off just turboing your vq
