guys, share your experience with headlight bulbs and recommendations...

Hi,

I'm in the market for some better looking headlight bulbs. I've already checked ebay, cardomain and other sources for ideas. I always wanted a look that of HID's and have seen, on occasions, some cars with regular headlight bulbs resemble such. Now I know HID is HID, and there's no replacement, but you get the point. (I hope )

Anyway, I used to own PIAA xtreme white and I simply do NOT like them. They cost me $80 (bought them a while back) and promised to give that clear, sharp, super-white look. However, they did NOT. I've seen people with $15 bulbs get a much whiter look. The PIAA's are still too yellow.

I am looking for the kind of bulbs that will yield this "in-between-white-and-blue" look. I dislike that blue beam that some bulbs emit. I'm ok with the crisp, white look. However, what I'd like most are bulbs that sort of emit this white, crisp look, with a tiny bit of blue tint somewhere in the beam. are there such bulbs?

If not, what bulbs in your opinion will yield the clearest, crispy white look?

Thanks in advance!

get a 9007 conversion before you even attempt buying bulbs for your car other wise it is not worth it.

^^ Listen to him. +1

I am about to do the conversion as well. A lot of ORGers talk up the Silverstars and CoolBlues over the others. Price for what you get is a better value, imo.

Sounds like you want illigal bulbs. The only legal bulb that will come close to what you want is 9007 silverstars, and they arent that blue anyway.

im my opinion silverstars hands down... had them for 2 years on my old car... but definately convert ot 9007... all u have to buy is the harnesses which are 3.99$ each... then simply use a dremel tool and take off some plastic from the bulb and it will fit perfectly

i was under the impression that it was either or.

1. buy the 9007 harness, cut off the 9004, splice the wires, instert 9007 bulbs into 9007 harness
2. take nubs off the 9007 bulbs and fit them into the 9004 harness

clarify?
