Help, some check lights came on at random

I was headed home, and all of a sudden I get the battery light and e-brake light just came on at the same time. What could be the problem?

for the e-brake light, check your brake fluid... it could be low

Good idea, I'll do that first thing in the morning.

Well, turns out that it just wasn't my battery, but also an alternator. I was quoted for $124 for the alternator.

yeah I was about to say alternator... same thing happened on my dad's truck when his alternator died... glad you got it figured out!
