I need to hookup the 'tach wire' for my remote starter, wiring guide indicates a wire going to the ECM can be used, has anyone done this b4, what is a good place to hookup??

Take out the Guage cluster... Tap it into the white wire with green stripe.

And make sure you connect BOTH starter wires. The Bulldog diagram is WRONG for the 95 Max.. It should be the same from 95-98, maybe 99 too. Connect both starter wires, or when you try to start it with the remote, its gonna keep cranking and it will start very rough.

i usually use voltage sensing rather than tach...

the tach wire in the 95 is as follows:

white/green at the ECM

the ecm is located in the front of the center console on the transmission hump. the wiring is easily reaced by removing the small black panel just to the front of the center console on the passanger side. The wire is in the middle row, 7th one in from the left.

hope that helps!

I think that is what I am missing, since I only connected the 1 starter wire. I noticed there was one large wire in ther ignition harness that I did not use, so I guess that must be it.

The red wire with blue stripe on the harness is the #2 starter wire. Connect this with the wire thats connected to the #1 starter wire using a relay.

well hooking up the 2nd starter wire did the trick, the RS now starts the car better than I do, its really wild that ALL the published wire guides seem to exclude this rather important detail

Only use the guide as a helper don't follow it with heart. A multimeter will give you the truth of what is going on. I double check every wire with a multimeter and have found these online website wiring diagrams were somtimes incorrect.
