Changing Motor Mounts

I want to change all the motor mounts on my car. I'm getting vibration and I know that the engine rocks when it's in gear. Are there any write-ups?

It looks pretty straight forward... the front and back you have to unscrew 2 screws on the cross member from under the car and take the mount off while supporting the engine somehow...

I read that. Am I missing that part? A simple yes or no will suffice. This is really pretty asinine. I can understand when a whole write up is desired and you tell someone its in the stickies, but when a yes or no will do, and instead we jockey back and forth....asinine.
I went to auto zone to compare part numbers on the two mounts but the front shows up and the rear doesn't. Normally this would mean that they are different but seeing as how this is auto zone it doesnt mean a whole lot.

Autozone retards...

I dont know if they are the same or not.. but I used to work at an auto parts store and along with the computer catalog we had books from companies that sold us parts.. for example, a company that makes motor mounts has a book that shows pics of all their motor mounts by part #... the retards at autozone have no clue what they're doing.

Haha, but seriously, unlike most other dip****s who will just tell you what you want to hear, I'm on here trying to find out the real issue and having to deal with this crap. Its rarer to go to one of these parts stores and have someone tell you they dont know the answer than it is to find some idiot who's just blowin smoke up your ***.

I have two extra mounts that are sitting right here. There is minor differences between them so, yes they are different.

Thanks, I have the back one, and I think thats the one that is bad. But I cant seem to find the front one and I dont want to do all this work and only change out one of them. Seems like a waste of time and I'm sure if the back one is that bad then the front one cant be all that great.

put your e-brake on and put your car in reverse with your foot on the brake and the other foot on the accelerator. rev the engine. have a friend look at the engine and see how much it moves. now do the same in D and notice how much the engine rocks. if they are off, then one or more of your motor mounts are bad. if they are the same yet not too much rocking,
i'd check your torque converter as well. as a bad one will vibrate the car.
and look into your harmonic balancer.
and look into your ignition coils as well.

all these things could cause a vibration and hesistation in your engine.

Hope this helps you. Have a Nice Day

Actually I have a stick and when i do anything that would torque the engine like shifting, I hear a clink noise. And I just replaced the passenger side CV Joint. So I'm thinking that its a motor mount. I am at school, far away from home, and I have a lift at home, so I'm just trying to take it easy until I can get home.

I too get a lot of drivetrain "slop". This seems like a good spring project.

At least there was no raw meat stated in the write-up (skin gashes)
