What do you think of this price?

Looking at a 99 SE Limited. 55k miles. $9,900. Excellent condition. The guy won't budge on the price but I really like the car. Do you think I'd be paying way too much?

if it's perfect in every way, then no, if it's got any flaws, then realistically, yeah, probably $1000-$2000 over book on it.....you can find nice 5th gens for $10K or so

Sounds a little high. But you have to look at the options and the condition of the car.

I have an older blue book (2002) that says a car like you described is worth in good condition at about $10,095. But the price should be lower since the book is a little older now...

The car has everything except for heated seats.

I paid $9900 for a 99 SE-L in August. 66k on the clock. At the time it booked for almost $13K. Only missing option was cd-changer. With that said, I sold my loaded 96 SE Auto for $5000 with 128K on it.

In this saturated used car market, no one is getting "book value" anymore. Regardless of what the book says...its a nice car, with lots of life left, for 10 bills. Not a bad deal, but not great either.

Rule #1 of buying anything is to not fall in love with it....thats when you make buying mistakes. Take an objective look at its condition and price, and if it has what you want. Here in Wisconsin, heated seats are a pretty valuable item.
