New Pic of G35 rims and HID 6000k Fogs (56k warning)
Here are some pics of my car with my latest MODs...G35 rims and Xtec H3 6000k HID fog lights. Nights pics to come later if requested. The rims are 17x7.5 front and 17x8 rear that came off a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe. I got the wheels w/ tires from a local private seller for only $500. The wheels are flawless/mint but rear tires need to be changed out soon. The front axel actually sticks out close to the outside of the wheel and will not allow the center cap to remain on. I have to figure out how to make it work later. Perhaps a spacer may be needed? Thankfully, there are no fitment problems with the rear wheels and center cap. The Xtec H3 6000k HID kit was purchase from Umnitza for $275 shipped. Fitment is not plug n play for 4th gen fog light housing. The H3 HID bulb is actually longer than normal H3 and hits against the shield. Also, the fog light cover/top must be drilled out in order for the wires from the new H3 bulb to pass through. Finally, the existing power and ground wires must be cut and new connectors crimped on. All in all, a easy MOD but I can see some people having problem with this MOD. The light looks very purple in the day but the pics don't show this. I can't comment on how it looks at night yet since I just got through installing them a little while ago. Questions or comments are welcomed.

Actually, the headlights are not HIDs at all but the 9007 upgrade. It's very white and looks very similar to 4300k HID. I will snaps some nights pics once it gets dark and after I get the fog lights reaimed.

I had the same problem with the front axle sticking out on my car. Depending on how much it sticks out, you could saw the tip of the axle off. I did this with mine and it worked great. I even had to replace one of my axles when the CV joint went bad and the nut still came right off with no problem. I can't think of a reason why this would be bad as long as you don't saw the cotter pin part off. If you do this make sure you have extra blades because I went through 2 on each side.

Ya, I was thinking about doing just that but it seemed a little extreme to me at the time. Did you ever think to dremel out the center cap in the area where the axel hits? I don't know if you could remove enough out for it to make clearance though. Thanks for the suggestion, I will use it as a last resort.

A Flood99, how did you cut the shields out without taking the fog lights apart. I was gonna do that but didn't want to take a chance of messing up my fog lights since I don't have a spare backup. gtr_rider, the pics are working albeit slow DL. Try to refresh again.

Those wheels look really good on s0ber's car, but he's dropped a lot more. They just don't look right at that ride height... bad news for me since I really wanted them and I'm on H&Rs.

You guys saying that it doesn't look dropped must not remember what the stock wheel gap looks like. Below are some pics to jog your memory. Before I got it dropped, I could fit my entire fist and then some in the gap while now I can barely fit 3 fingers. Anyways, the H-Tech drop is enough to get rid of the 4x4 look while not making it look extreme but to each his own.

I like your grill DIGITAL. I've discovered that the drop looks high do to the angle that I took the pics and the fact that my driveway is on an incline. Everyone that has seen these pics and then seen the car in person notices and likes the drop. I will keep on modding and you do the same.
