taking apart cefiros...

taking apart cefiros...
has anyone taken their cefiros apart? maybe to ae mod them if you didnt buy the blacked out ones? or even to put projectors in? just wondering if the same process applies. 250 degrees farenheit for 5-10 minutes. is there a different process? or do i have the time or heat wrong? anyone help, i need to take them apart, for a project im doing.

yup it works the same...i did mine last thursday....and while i was there i put in some projectors

IMO, a heat gun is a much safer way to go. You don't have to heat up the whole headlight and you can see much better if the plastic is starting to melt or warp. I have use every method possible, including boiling water and the heat gun is the safest.
I almost attempted to do the AE mod my one pieces but wussed out. Don't want to mess those beautiful headlights up!
IMO, it would be better to sell your current ones and just buy a set of smoked cefiro's. I bet you would not loose much money out of the deal and then you would not have to worry about messing them up.
