e-brake light won't turn off...

e-brake light won't turn off...
My girlfriend just bought a 1999 SE 5spd.
just lately, the e-brake light would remain on even when the e-brake was disengaged.
Anyone know why this is?
she still has warranty...take this back to dealership to get fixed? or is there a quick fix for this?
The light does turn off sometimes.

just checked fluids...
and they're all fine. I'm guessing it could be due to the cold weather?
