"?" For those those with 5spd tranny swap.

I'm seriously thinking about having this swap done. I was just wondering if anyone has had any sort of problems with their car after the swap. Also, I was wondering how hard is it to find shop where this can be done?

If anyone has any info, it'll really help me out right now

Thanks.

As long as it is installed right, and the tranny is good....there shouldnt be any problems. Im sure in VA there are quite a few shops who can do the work.
You can find a used tranny from www.car-part.com and either pick it up, or have it shipped. You can get *most* of the other parts from org member "DAVEB".

Good luck.

Any speed shop will take on the job, you just need to make sure they'll do it in time and do it right. You should call All Aspects Motorsports and see if they have the time, they're the best around IMO and I've been to them all. But for a swap as big as this, it might be worth your time to drive to NY and have Maxximum Tuning do it (as they have done many before).

$900 in labor if you don't have ABS, $1000 if you do. Parts can be had a cheap as $500, as expensive as $3000.
