Paint issue

This probably should go in the detailing forums...but I was sitting at a red light getting off a highway and this guy just bumps me from behind. Couldn't really see any damage because it was at night so I said whatever. Next day, I am washing my car and I see this paint chip that I made worse with the pressure from the hose So now there is this paint chip on my bumber probably the size of the tip of my thumb or so. What do you guys recommend for touch up paint?

Go to the dealership with your paint code.

Next time get the other driver's details, even though it may look ok. You never know.

I got bumped from behind a few weeks ago by a Pontiac Firefly that couldn't stop in time. It was raining and dark and I could tell in the dark that his bumper left some gouges on my new bumper. The other driver said that it looks ok but I knew better. He hoped that we could do it without involving the insurance companies but I'll be without any wheels if I did that. I was ticked that he wasn't cautious in the rain but he'll remember it next time.

I just dropped off my Max at the autobody to get it fixed. Got a Chevy Impala for a loaner. The estimate came to $500! Glad that the insurance company is paying for it and I don't have to pay the deductible either!

Touch up will not match cause your car is 7+ years old.

$500 is the basically the minimum price for any body work. They need to fill the bumper which is 3+ hours of labor and then paint. Thats another $300 so that is accurate. You could have done it yourself for $300.

Mine matched quite well. I do find that dark colors tend to take touch-up better though.
