Would you like to take the opportunity to lower (that's how I see my blown rear shock )? Or did you want to stay with stock springs? Keep in mind that lowering will cost more, so it really depends on if you just want to keep the car as is or make improvements.

If you want to keep your stock springs, Tokico HP struts will be your best bet for an OEM-type replacement.

Check this site out. That will give you some idea. You should be able to find many things for less than listed there. Check the classified and group deal forums here. If your on a tight budget (a couple hundred) just stick with stock struts until you can afford to lower. To do it right would be at least $600, but many lower on GR2's and are quite happy with the results. If you do stay stock then get some tokico blue's like ben said or some GR2's (whichever you can find for less). Anyway check out that site and see what seems right for you.

are those prices for a single shock? or a pair. and man these manufactures rly kill you with these prices of what probably costs under 10 dollars to make.

Those are for a set of four...the Blues and GR2's are very similar in pricing to OEM. Check out ebay. There are some sellers that have been around for awhile that sell them for less. Also look in the GD forum for a seller name importcarparts or something like that.

quick unrelated question. a mechanic says i have a leak in the clutch pressure hose. he said the part is 80 dollars. is it rly that high for a hose? or is he trying to rip me off. he said labor to put it in is 30. i checked some websites and they had 2 clutch hoses listed, 1 for 40ish and 1 for 11ish. neither of them were called pressure hoses tho.

This seem like the hose? See if you can get in there and find which one it is.

I've actually got that hose along with the slave cylinder out of my max with 105K at the time. The new (used) tranny I put in had one on it already. I don't know, I'd give it to you for $30 shipped or something for the hose and slave if you want.

I think there may have been a deal for steel braided clutch lines going on in the GD forum too. Probably not really necessary, but it might be cheaper than OEM.

If you feel comfortable doing so you should check it out and see if you can figure out which hose it is. With that link it shouldn't be too hard to replace if it's the same one. Good luck.
