I had the Mcculloch 8000K HID kit and it was a very nice blue and great amounts of light. You prolly want to add a glare shield to the bulbs or else you will have a lot of glare going towards oncoming drivers. look here http://briefcase.yahoo.com/hottboi949@sbcglobal.net
and you can see you i made a glare shield and you can try to make you own also.

If you want something with a little blue, McCullough 6000k is for you.
I had it for a while but the glare was not to driver friendly for on coming drivers. Plus the wiring on those ballast sux. I don't know if I got a defective one but it kept on going out until I fixed it. Anyways, I sold it after about 2 months of use. I don't really trust HID kits anymore...

I dont have any pics of the beam. On the wall, it doesnt have a cut-off like a projector beam but does decrease glare by a lot. I saw for myself as my friend drove my car down my block and back towards me and there was no glare at all.

Go for 6000k or less to keep a solid amount of usable light, and you'll need the 9004 kit. Anything higher certainly has attractive color, but it's not as effective on the road. My homepage has pics of my McCulloch 6000k kit - paid $300 shipped. Your 99 should already have the shield in the headlight housing - mojochocho has a 96, which (IIRC) didn't come with the shield from the factory.
Advice: if you can find a Philips, Catz, or Hella kit, BUY IT instead of minor brands like McC.

i honestly think you should pay more and do a retrofit with projectors and use an oem hella kit, it would be your best bet. but its your call just make sure u aim them things down they gona blind people. also i say stay below 6000k, 4100-4300k is what i truely recomend. my $0.02.

yea anything over 6000k and the cops will be on you also the 6000k are the perfect color as opinion if you are looking for the best kit in my opinion go to custommaxima.com they have some really easy plug and play systems also try putting eyebrows on the headlights themselves it adds to the look of the car and they will do the trick
good luck finding what u want
