electrical problem with led switch mod!

I have had blue led switches for about 4 months now. Last night I jump out the car for a second but left the lights on but turned the car off. 2 maybe 3 minutes later I get back in my car and crank up. 10 seconds later I smell wires buring and then my interior light went out!! not all but just the ones connected to the interior dimmer. The back window switch lights are still on though. You guys have any suggestions or answers to what went wrong?? I think it was a power surge because I had my lights on when I cruck up the car. Thats the only thing I did different that I can think of .

Definitely check the fuses.

After that, if some things are still dead, open them up and see what's going inside. Maybe when you did the LED's something wasn't soldered on properly and now it came loose.
