Ebgine

Hi. My Maxima 99 does not go more than 5500 rpm. It is Auto transmission.
Please help.

That's the USABLE redline for 99's, since they can't have the JWT ECU

Oh yeah, but they CAN have MEVI/00VI

Those bastards, I'd take bad coils anyday for an 00VI... it sounds like alot of work for mine...

My coils are good. I chacked them. Maybe it is a transmission? When I get this car rpm's were going up to 6500. Maybe it is problem with my intake or y-pipe??

If your coils are fine then I'd go looking at the MAF meter. If your transmission is slipping, your RPMS and speed would rise but you'd be accelerating slowly.

thats peak power anyways, just trust the the tranny knows what its doing, and let it friggin shift.

What can I do to get 6500rpm?? Some of you can say "stick shift", but it's not what i am ecxpecting.
