Any problems with B-pipe and crossmember bar?

Until last night I was driving around without the crossmember bar installed. The Budget B-pipe would sometimes thump against the side of the right rear suspension trailing arm if I go over really bumpy roads. After reinstalling the bar and threading the nuts only half way up the bolts I've noticed a little more exhaust noise than before. Has anyone else come across this?

Which crossmember bar? You have SFC's?

are you talking about that dinky little peice that serves no purpose except to rattle when you put a larger exhaust on? Get rid of that shyt, it is worthless.

I took the crossmember off the day after I got my b-pipe installed because it was hitting it when i'de go over any small bumps. I've never heard of it hitting the suspension. Make sure the hangers aren't too loose.

Well, the B-pipe shimmy was bugging me and so I put the bar back on. Went over my daily bumpy part of the road on the way into work today and the shimmy problem was gone. All I noticed was a slight increase in exhaust noise.

You hear more noise because you have contact right there at the bar and exhaust pipe. YOu are getting more vibration. Check the hangers and toss the bar. Or try wrapping the bar with exhaust wrap and see what happens.

Guys, the contact I'm talking about happens on the side of the suspension.
Where the pipe dips down on the right towards the engine that is where the contact is happening.

Ok, I finally figured it out. Because the crossmember bar is in contact with the B-pipe the exhaust noise is transmitted through the bar to the frame and then into the interior. Once I take off the bar the noise will go. I'll have to rig a rubber bumper on the side of the suspension arm at the point where the B-pipe comes in contact.

Mine is rattling with a stock b-pipe.

Budget b-pipe is one the way. I'm gonna have the muffler shop take out all the unnesseccary heat shields and whatever bar it's hitting right now.

...and maybe replace 5th gen muffler with something a little more free-flowing.

You need an exhaust shop to remove heat sheilding? They're gonna make fun of you for it.

I took that bar off so long ago I forgot about it. That is why I asked if you had SFC's.

I could swear I just said that

Your pipe should not be hanging at that angle allowing it to touch...

Mine's not as low as another orger I saw in here. Guess I'll buy a new rubber hanger and see if that helps any.

If you need pop on another hanger. In extreme cornering mine hits lightly.
