headers
There are two headers available for our car right now. One is Cattman Performance and the other is Stone Racing. The Cattman runs about $800 and the Stone Racing $300, needless to say the Cattman one is supposed to make more power (since it has an equal-length design). The Stone Racing ones seem to have fitment problems, and considering how difficult a header install is most people don't want to waste their time for the minimal gains they offer. The people with the Cattman headers have been very happy with their product, however they are rather pricey.
However since you have a 1999 Maxima, you might not be able to install either of these given your O2 sensor locations. I'm not sure on this, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

the price to power gain over a y pipe is not worth it, over a y pipe alone i was told theres only a 2-4whp gain, which isnt worth the price if you ask me, get the WS $160 y pipe deal and save your self an extra $800.

I have a FED SPEC '99 with the Stone Racing Headers. I was the 2nd prototyper. The headers fit perfectly while the ypipe (1st design) need to be adjusted to fit on one of the flanges. Other than that everything else went as smoothly as a header install can go.
Gains are probably about 2-3hp less than the Cattman setup...depends from car to car.
(I don't encourage anyone to buy the SRHeaders or CattmanHeaders for the smallish gains you receive over a ypipe alone...if you cared to know)

Peak hp gain with the headers is around 22hp, the peak with a y-pipe would typically be about 14hp. That's 50-60% more power with the headers, so its not just a matter of sounding cool - you will feel the difference.
The price is $825 for the header manifolds, y-pipe and a complete gasket and hardware kit. The y-pipe's unique to the headers, not at all like the ones we sell to replace the stock y-pipes. The headers are made of carbon steel, with HPC ceramic coating inside and out. The lower tubing has an additional top layer of ceramic coating to increase the corrosion protection and thermal containment.
These are sold by our distributors, but we'd appreciate being able to sell to you direct - we can of course beat anyone's prices on Cattman parts - just call the Cattman offices at 520.730.9309 between 9-6 MST, or our ordering service at 800.759.9920 if you can't get through (they're great at taking orders, but can't answer technical questions).
These fit all 95-03 Maximas and 95-04 I30/I35s. Installation in 99-00 CA/NLEV emissions cars and all 01-03 Maximas require relocating two O2 sensors to the B-pipe just behind the main cat to avoid setting of an check engine light. O2/O3 Maximas don't have an EGR valve, so we include a plug for the port when sold for the VQ30DE applications.
Our current website is real out of date - its almost impossible to update, and we should finally have a new one up with a lot of new products by early December. I've attached a picture of the headers. I've also attached two dyno runs, one for a 98 Maxima (+22hp and 22ft/lbs gain over stock on a car with only a Greddy exhaust) and one for an 02 (+30hp and 29ft/bs gain - over a Cattman Performance Y-pipe rather than a stock one - on a car with typical bolt-ons).
I have more detailed dyno data in a tabular format if you're interested, but what I've sent should generally answer the questions you ask.
