try Kelley Blue Book online, www.kbb.com
try www.edmunds.com. they have the true market value and that gives you a rough idea how much it costs. as the guys mentioned earlier, looking thru your local paper or autotrader tells you how much you can get.
in my opinion, it's somewhere around $4500 range.

I looked in the paper and the online classifieds in my area, the price range is soo wide there is no way to find a common price.
Being a moderator, one would think you would have a something better to say then this. Why bother writing anything?

Hovz, i would say around 4k is a good starting point if the car is in sound mechanical condition with minimal interior/exterior wear.

So maybe he should start doing some research on this site and the ones that have been mentioned on this site numerous times in the past?

And you can give him a better price here?? How?? Do you know how much his maxima, with his options, with his work, in his area will go for?? I thought so.
Being a moderator, I gave him the truth. I'm sorry if you don't like it. In the end it doesn't matter what we say. How about we tell him $15,000 and make him feel good??? Does that help him in any way?? Because in the end, he will only get what someone is willing to pay.

Keep in mind that us normal forums users DO NOT. Being that this a forum with interaction between users, you can state alot more info then in a classified ad and give/get a better suggestion for a decent price.

Have no idea what that means sorry. We could give him a price. What happens when someone tells him that price is totally out of line?? Without research, he won't be able to give a good argument about why that price is good. So for the most part, spoon feeding him some out of the blue price doesn't do much IMHO. What is he gonna say? It's valid because people that live thousands miles away on a message board said it was the right price??

So you saying that this forum is not a good means of research?
Your saying that the info giving on this forum is not valid and has no merit?

Different area have different pricing on product we sell. What the Mod said is correct, he has to check his local newspaper to get an estimate. The Mod can give him a ball park price. At the end, he has to research his car market price in his area.
Hovz:
Best thing to do is check out the Org. classified section. Try and post your ad there and you'll get a sense how much is the selling price in your area. Good luck.

Honestly i think you can get from $4000-$5000 for your car realisticly. But you could get more depending on if someone is looking for exactly what you have.
Why even respond?? Give him the exact price or shut the hell up

seriously....I sold my 96 SE Auto with 128K for $4900.....with a similar description....but that was 6 months ago. That was actually above book value at the time...but I live in a northern climate where a car disolves into rust before the engine wears out. $4000 ish seems realistic...if, and only if they are looking for your car....5 speeds make up only 10-12% of the Maxima population in that vintage.
